Eel Garden

Eel Garden requires calm sea for diving. At times the current can be extremely strong but the Eel garden is a diver's dream! The site takes its name from the countless garden eels that are all over the sandy sea bed. The start spot is usually a small canyon that will lead you into a large sandy area that slopes down slowly. After diving along a perpendicular reef, the eels slowly come into sight, waving in the current like synchronized dancers. As they are very shy, approach slowly as they quickly vanish back into the sand when you get too close. At about 20 m a nearly flat part of the reef with coral boulders and table corals. It is quite co...mmon to find barracudas passing the area. On your way back at 5 and 10 m you will see healthy, wide range variety of both soft and hard corals.
