Big Passage

Sha'ab Mahmud's opening to the north is called the Big Passage or North Passage, and as the name indicates, much wider than the opening at the Small Passage. The entrance of the passage is a sandy plateau with head corals, fan corals and brilliant growth of wide range of colourful soft corals. All kind of smaller reef fish can be found. The dive is rarely done but always good for a third dive of the dayas it is shallow one.
