The egg-shaped reef of Shag Rock is marked by a light beacon and offers excellent diving on pristine coral reefs. The sheltered southern point is the most dived location offering the opportunity for drifts along the west or east side. The diving is best on the reef's eastern side known for its brilliant and soft corals. On a calm day, divers are rewarded with large schools of fish, many of them pelagic and if the sea is calm even snorkelers can check out the wreck of the Kingston (Sarah H.), which rests on a shallow plateau at the northern end. The site hosts a wide range of reef fish with lots of schooling fish and pelagic and a good lo...cation to swim with dolphins. Quite often wind, waves and at times strong current can make access to the northern side impossible.
